What to do about Waitlists…
You’ve finally purchased your festival pass and start to comb through the festival schedule. You see a class you want to add to your schedule but when you go to book it you find out it is WAITLISTED!
What do you do?!?!
Expecting considerable more guests this year than last, we’ve added over 200+ sessions to the 2025 Berkshire Yoga Festival ensuring there will ALWAYS be plenty of class options through the long weekend.
By March/April we start to see a few sessions begin to fill up, creating a waitlist. If you had your heart set on a specific class and are now on the waitlist, here is what you need to know:
Can guests get off the waitlist?
The short answer: yes, but not always. In April and May we’ll look at all our waitlisted classes and see if there is a possibility to increase capacity and move people off a waitlist by moving the session into another classroom. However, certain classes have strict capacity limits based on different factors.
Can I book into an alternative class just in case?
No. Our booking system, Sched, does not let you reserve multiple sessions in the same time slot. This is to prevent overbooking into sessions and causing even more unnecessary waitlists. We recommend checking out a different session; you may just discover a new favorite teacher!
“I really want to take that class, what should I do?”
If you are on a waitlist for a session you are welcome to wait in line before the session begins. All registered guests will be allowed in first. Right at class start time, if there appears to be some additional room, we will let in people on the waitlist on a first come, first serve basis. If you are on a waitlist with friends, we cannot guaranteed both/all of you will get in. Generally, if we are able to get people off a waitlist, only 1-2 guests can be added.
Schedule your weekend mindfully
We’ve been there. In the excitement of attending our first festival, booking ourselves into back-to-back sessions from morning until dusk only to find ourselves burnt out by 2pm. You are able to add or remove yourself to sessions throughout the festival. If you’ve booked yourself into a class, and no longer plan on attending, please try to remove it from your schedule to open up your spot for another guest.
