Yoga Festivals in New England and the Northeast, 2027

There's something special about practicing yoga somewhere new. A fresh setting, a new teacher, and a weekend with people who love the same things you do can give your practice a lift that's hard to find at home.

If you live in New England or anywhere in the Northeast, you're in luck. The region has a handful of yoga festivals and retreats, from mountain resorts to lakeside camps and country inns. This guide covers three of them, so you can start planning your summer.

We'll start with the one closest to our hearts, and then share others worth knowing about. Dates and details change, so always check each festival's own website before you book.

Berkshire Yoga Festival: June 10–13, 2027, Hancock, Massachusetts

The 4th annual Berkshire Yoga Festival (BYF) takes place June 10–13, 2027 at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Hancock, Massachusetts, in the heart of the Berkshires.

The setting. Nestled in the mountains of western Massachusetts, Jiminy Peak is close enough for an easy getaway but feels wonderfully removed from everyday life. Between classes, you can step outside, breathe the mountain air, catch up with friends, and enjoy the natural beauty around the resort. The rhythm of the weekend is shaped as much by the landscape as by the program, and it's a place that invites you to slow down and stay present.

For four days, BYF brings together renowned teachers, dedicated practitioners, and curious newcomers. It has the restful feel of a yoga retreat and the energy of a festival. Days are filled with yoga and movement classes, meditation, workshops, and panels. Evenings bring concerts, kirtan, dance, and time together.

Who's teaching in 2027. The 2027 lineup includes Tiffany Cruikshank, Seane Corn, Eric Franklin, Garth Stevenson, Jill Miller, Lara Heimann, Jyll Hubbard-Salk, and DJ Taz Rashid. See the 2027 lineup taking shape, with more announcements in the coming months.

Practice outside. The Berkshires are part of the experience, not just the backdrop. Throughout the weekend you'll find outdoor classes, guided hikes, walking meditations, and mountaintop gatherings.

Vendor Village. At the center of the festival, the Vendor Village brings together wellness brands, artisans, and local businesses, plus food and refreshments.

A day at BYF. A typical day might start with a morning class, then a workshop or panel, a walk outside, and lunch and a browse through the Vendor Village. The afternoon brings more sessions or a guided hike. As the day winds down, the community gathers for concerts, kirtan, and dance, and many people say these evenings become the moments they remember most. With 80+ presenters and 200+ classes and workshops across the weekend, there's room to follow your favorite style or try something completely new. The schedule is released on Sched around February 2027, and the mobile app is the easiest way to keep track, since printed schedules aren't handed out on site. On opening day, Thursday, June 10, check-in opens at 6am and the festival starts at 9am.

Who it's for. BYF welcomes longtime practitioners and curious newcomers alike. Classes are open to ages 12 and up with a pass, and the Vendor Village is family friendly. There's no on-site childcare, but Jiminy Peak has its own activities for kids, booked directly with the resort.

Getting here. Jiminy Peak is a few hours' drive from Boston, New York City, Hartford, and Albany. Albany International Airport (ALB) is about 53 minutes away. See getting here for airports and shuttles.

Where to stay. BYF has partnered with a select group of places to stay at Jiminy Peak and nearby, several with festival rates for attendees. Vacation Village, across from the resort and about a four-minute drive away, offers suite-style rooms with full kitchens, which suit couples, families, and groups of friends. For something closer to nature, Huttopia Berkshires, about six minutes away, has furnished canvas tents and cabins on 123 wooded acres. Lodging isn't included in festival passes, and space at the partner rates is limited, so it's worth booking early. Browse lodging and camping options.

Passes. You can come for one day, three days, or all four. Each pass includes a set number of featured sessions, plus evening activities and community events. The 3-Day Pass comes in two versions, Thursday to Saturday or Friday to Sunday. If plans change, Single Day Passes can be exchanged for a different day, and the two 3-Day versions can be swapped. Early Bird passes are on sale through December 31, and you save $70. Early Bird buyers also get to choose their sessions one week before the general public. Running a studio? Group rates are available for 5 to 20 passes through the Studio Partner program. See all passes.

How to choose the right yoga festival for you

Every festival has its own personality. A few questions can help you decide:

  • How long do you want to stay? Some festivals run two days, others three or four. A longer festival gives you more room to rest between sessions and try something new.

  • Who do you want to learn from? Look at the lineup. Learning in person from a teacher you've followed for years can be the best part of the trip.

  • Retreat or festival? Some events feel quiet and intimate. Others are big and full of music. Many, like BYF, mix both.

  • How far do you want to travel? A festival within driving distance makes it easier to bring friends, pack your props, and skip the airport.

  • Where will you sleep? Some festivals include lodging. Others, like BYF, let you choose from hotels, condos, cabins, or camping nearby.

  • How much variety do you want? A bigger program means more styles, more teachers, and more chances to find a new favorite. Smaller gatherings feel more intimate. Think about which suits you this year.

  • What's the setting like? Time outside, from outdoor classes to a hike between sessions, can make a weekend feel more like a retreat.
