A Guide to Waitlists at Berkshire Yoga Festival
You’ve started exploring the schedule and imagining your weekend…
And then you see it — a class you were excited about is already waitlisted.
If that happens, take a breath.
It’s a natural part of the festival experience — especially as we move into spring and more attendees begin building their schedules.
Here’s what to know, and how to navigate it.
Why Do Sessions Fill Up?
With more than 200+ sessions across four days, there is always a wide range of sessions available.
As news of the Berkshire Yoga Festival has spread, we’ve seen more attendees commit to joining us early and enrollment grow.
That said, certain sessions tend to fill earlier than others — often those with smaller room capacities, unique formats, or presenters many guests are especially excited to practice with.
As the festival approaches, it’s common to see a handful of sessions begin to fill. It doesn’t mean you’re out of options — it just means more people have started to plan their weekend.
What Should You Do If a Session Is Waitlisted?
1. Explore Other Options
One of the best parts of a festival like BYF is the opportunity to try something new.
If a session is full, take a look at what else is happening during that time. Some presenters are teaching multiple sessions throughout the weekend, and there are often other offerings that might surprise you.
Many guests tell us their favorite class of the weekend wasn’t the one they originally planned — it was something they discovered along the way.
And more often than not, what stays with people isn’t just a single session or presenter — it’s the overall experience: the people you meet, the energy of the weekend, and how it all comes together over four days.
2. Join the Waitlist (If It Feels Right)
Spots can open up.
As plans shift, guests adjust their schedules, and space occasionally becomes available. While it’s not guaranteed, being on the waitlist gives you a chance to get in.
Keep in mind, joining a waitlist for a Featured Session requires using one of your session passes. If you don’t want to miss an opportunity to book into another session instead, you may decide staying on the waitlist isn’t right for you.
3. Arrive Early
If you’re on the waitlist, plan to be in line promptly.
All registered guests will be admitted first. Only if there’s additional room at start time, we’ll welcome in guests from the waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis.
A Note on Booking Multiple Sessions
Our scheduling platform, Sched, does not allow you to reserve multiple sessions in the same time slot.
This helps prevent overbooking and ensures that as many guests as possible can attend the sessions they’ve signed up for.
That being said, if you join a waitlist, you cannot also book a “backup”. You are always welcomed to reach out to support@berkshireyogafestival.com to see how long the waitlist is to determine if you want to join a waitlist, or book a different session instead.
Final Thought
Seeing a waitlist doesn’t mean you’ve missed your chance.
It simply means the festival is coming to life.
There are still countless sessions to explore, teachers to learn from, and experiences waiting to unfold. And when the weekend is over, it’s rarely just one class that people remember — it’s the feeling of being there, the connections made, and the experience as a whole.
